Title: "Autumnal Triptych"

My friend Robyn calls this my "magnum opus." Well, I don't know about that, but it did take me a long time to plan and make. I entered this in the 2002 Quilt Fiesta of the Northern New Mexico Quilter's Guild, of which I am the Webmaster.

The fabric determined the title. It was fun playing with the different possibilities for the Log Cabin design. I was influenced by Libby Lehman's "Threadplay," but did not know how to do it right at the time--hence, these pieces are pretty "wavy." (I've since heard Libby speak at a quilt guild meeting, and she embroiders before quilting, and blocks the heck out of the pieces after quilting!).
