Quilt
Pattern: n/a
Quilt Size: About 11" x 17" Block Size: n/a Machine Pieced and Quilted Date Made: Christmas 2002 After I left my ex-fiance and moved into an apartment, I met Cynthia. She was also a quilter, and gave me a bunch of neat Christmas fabric that she was no longer using. I made a table runner for her and her partner (alas! no photo!), but also made some other gifts. This was a set of eight placemats for my childhood friend, Saundra, and her family--her husband Bill and children Heather, Katie, and Brian. I used a feather stitch on my fancy new sewing machine to quilt these placemeats. It's hard to believe that Saun and I have known each other more than 35 years! I hope they will think of me every year when they use the placemats. Photo: Placemats for Saundra and family (top). |
