Jeanne is my mom's first cousin. She and her husband, John, are two of the dearest people in the world. They live in England. Their two sons, John and Terry, emigrated to the United States when they were teenagers. Jeanne and John visit the USA when they can.

This was made for a visit to the USA in celebration of Jeanne and John's 50th wedding anniversary. Although I stitched it, my mom, Yvonne, "designed" it (she made suggestions!), especially the inscription with my sewing machine's lettering: "How Many Kinds of Pretty Flowers Grow/in an English Country Garden?"

My mom also says the curly-haired gardener looks like Jeanne.

Jeanne and John have a wonderful garden in greater London, and we've had some great salads from that garden!

Postscript: Jeanne passed away in June 2004. We miss her very much.
